Fetchlio

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Fetchlio collects, uses, and protects information when you use our free video metadata tools. We designed the product to stay lightweight: you do not need an account to extract public tags, titles, descriptions, or thumbnails, and we do not run advertising networks on this site. Please read this page carefully so you understand what happens when you paste a link.

Information we process

When you submit a video URL, our servers use that URL to request publicly available metadata from the relevant platform. Depending on the link, that may include fields returned by the YouTube Data API, oEmbed endpoints, Open Graph tags, or similar public sources. Typical results can include title, description, tags when available, thumbnail URLs, duration, publish date, view counts, and channel-related details. The URL itself is required to fetch those fields. Without it, the extractor cannot run.

We do not ask for your name, password, or payment details to use everyday extraction features. If optional YouTube file download is enabled on the server, download requests are proxied through our backend for supported public YouTube links. Use downloads only in ways that respect copyright law where you live and each platform’s terms of service.

Local storage on your device

To make the tool more convenient, recent URLs may be saved in your browser’s localStorage on the same device. That history stays on your computer or phone. Fetchlio does not sync that list to a personal profile because we do not require sign-in. Clearing site data or browser storage removes the saved URLs. If you use a shared computer, clear storage when you are finished so the next person does not see your recent links.

Logs, security, and rate limits

Like most web applications, our servers may keep operational logs needed for stability and abuse prevention. Those logs can include technical signals such as IP address, request timing, and error codes used for rate limiting. Rate limits protect API quotas and keep the service available for everyone. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use extraction requests to build advertising profiles.

Third-party platforms

Metadata and media originate from the platforms you query — for example YouTube, TikTok, Vimeo, or Dailymotion. Those companies control the underlying content and apply their own privacy policies and terms. Fetchlio only surfaces information that is already available through public endpoints or page tags. Always use links you are allowed to access, and do not attempt to retrieve private, restricted, or confidential material through this site.

Your choices and contact

You can stop using the service at any time and clear local storage in your browser. If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, need a clarification about how a feature works, or want to report a concern, email us at malikjameel0012@gmail.com. We will review messages in good faith and respond when a practical reply is possible.

We may update this policy as the product changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page will change when we publish a revision. Continued use of Fetchlio after an update means you have had a chance to review the revised terms on this page. For product background, see our about page. For acceptable use, see our terms of use.
